Amber Alert canceled for 2-year-old Garland girl

UPDATE: Late Tuesday night the Garland Police Department canceled an Amber Alert for a 2-year-old girl police believed may have been in danger.

Police said they found 2-year-old Maliyah Vergenz and 38-year-old Patricia Garcia at a motel in Terrell.

Police said police in Terrell spotted a 1998 Chrysler Cirrus in the parking lot of the Villager Motel at U.S. Highway 80 and Spur 557. Officers took Garcia into custody without incident.

Maliyah was rescued and police said she was in good condition, she was returned to her parents.

Update: Little Maliyah Vergenz was last seen wearing a light pink shirt and blue shorts

The Garland Police Department is searching for Maliyah Vergenz, hispanic, female, 2 years old, date of birth 05/05/10, unknown height, unknown 

weight, brown hair, brown eyes and unknown clothing description.

Police are looking for Patricia Garcia, aka Patricia Beruman.

She is a hispanic, female, 38 years old, date of birth 04/23/74, 5 feet 3 inches tall, weight 250 lbs., brown hair, brown eyes and has a heavy set upper body, curly hair and a chubby face.

She was last seen driving a 1998 Chrysler Aspire with an unknown paper license plate number.

The suspect was last heard from in Garland, which is Northeast of Dallas.
