AMBER ALERT DISCONTINUED: Texas officials find missing Nacogdoches teen, kidnapper in custody

Nacogdoches, Texas (KETK) — An Amber Alert has been discontinued and a man wanted for the kidnapping of a 15-year-old Nacogdoches girl has been taken into custody.
Juan Delacruz, 28, was arrested at a job site on the Texsa Tech Campus in Lubbock, Texas by FBI officials and Lubbock Police.
Shortly after taking Delacruz into custody, law enforcement authorities were on scene and able to find Noemi who was in a nearby motel room.
The Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office would like to thank the FBI, the Lubbock Police Dept., the Texas Dept of Public Safety for there extraordinary assistance in investigating this case and apprehending the suspect.
The victim is safe and the Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office will make arraignments to transport her back home to Nacogdoches, Texas.
Earlier this week, the Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office was investigating the disappearance of a 15-year-old Nacogdoches girl that was reported missing Monday night around 10:00 p.m.
The female, Noemi (Mimi) Valazquez, was last seen leaving school Monday evening.
When the girl did not return home, family members filed a missing person.
Noemi is Hispanic girl with brown hair and brown eyes. She is 4 feet 11 inches tall and was last seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, black tennis shoes, and carrying a brown purse.
During the investigation, deputies had limited information on the girl.
On Tuesday, investigators identified the boyfriend of the missing person. They began conducting interviews with the person to find the whereabouts of the missing juvenile.
During the investigation, deputies received consent to search the phone of Franklin Joya, 20.
During the search, it was found to have images of child pornography.
Joya was arrested and booked into Nacogdoches County Jail on charges of child pornography.
The Sheriff's Office has continued into the investigation into the whereabouts of Noemi.
Several friends and family members were interviewed Tuesday evening. During the investigation it was found that she was believed to be with Delacruz.

Delacruz is reported to be an illegal alien who may also be a former police officer in Mexico.
Delacruz is not related to the family but became friends with them for a couple of months.
In December, the family and Delacruz had a falling out and have not been in contact with Delacruz since that time. It is believed that he works in Louisiana and was living in Center, Texas.
Officials have not been able to confirm if Delacruz and Noemi were in a relationship together.
Sheriff Bridges stated that they believe that Delacruz may have had a fixation on the missing juvenile.
There is no evidence that the girl was planning any type of trip and nothing missing from her bedroom.
After identifying the suspect in this case, authorities gained information that she was possibly in Kansas. An Amber Alert was issued for the missing juvenile.
Authorities have also identified a possible vehicle that Delacruz is driving. Through further investigation during the night it was found that the information first obtained was not correct that the subjects were not in Kansas, but were possibly in Lubbock, Texas.
Around 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday night, investigators with the Sheriff's Office obtained more information to confirm their suspicion that Delacruz was in Lubbock, Texas.
There has also been a possible sighting of Delacruz in Lubbock that was reported this morning.
It is unknown at this time what ties Delacruz has to the Lubbock area.
The Nacogdoches County Sheriff's Office has issued an aggravated kidnapping warrant for the arrest of Juan Delacruz.
Noemi has made statements in the past to friends that she was scared of Delacruz.
This case is being treated as an abduction.
The Nacogdoches County Sheriff Office is working with the FBI, Texas Department of Public Safety and law enforcement authorities in Lubbock, Texas to find the missing juvenile.
