Angelina County gets state grant
Grant designed as preventative medicine to keep people out of hospital
Lufkin — The Lufkin Daily News is reporting; Texas Department of State Health Services awarded a $200,000 grant to the Angelina County and Cities Health District to implement an initiative to reduce potentially preventable hospitalizations of adults in Angelina and San Augustine counties.
The district will receive $150,000 to implement a preventable hospitalization initiative to target bacterial pneumonia, dehydration and urinary tract infection in Angelina County and $50,000 to target bacterial pneumonia in San Augustine County.
