LONGVIEW — With around a hundred animals at the Humane Society of Northeast Texas volunteers and workers are taking several steps to keep these animals warm during the winter.
"We have heating systems throughout the shelter and we lay down clean blankets each night so the animals have some area to cuddle and stay warm with," said Mark Salazar, Director of the Humane Society of Northeast Texas.
With limited supplies it may be difficult to keep all the animals warm.
"We are not at any means at an area where we have enough supplies. We can use anything that people can provide," added Salazar.
Donations can be dropped off at the shelter.
