Ann Romney adamantly stayed on message when asked in an interview with an Iowa television station about same-sex marriage and whether employer-provided health insurance should cover birth control, deferring questions on such issues to the GOP nominee.
Mrs. Romney told KWQC via satellite Friday morning that her message to voters was to trust Mitt Romney to bring the country a sound economic future. But when asked her views on contentious social issues Mrs. Romney firmly adhered to the GOP's economic message and declined to answer.
"I'm not going to talk about the specific issues. I'm going to let my husband speak on issues," said Mrs. Romney adding that such issues are a distraction from the focus of the election and what the Republican nominee's wife says women voters want to talk about-jobs and the economy.
When asked if she believes employer-provided health insurance should be required to cover birth control, Mrs. Romney said, "Again, you're asking me questions that are not about what this election is going to be about. This election is going to be about the economy and jobs."
Republican candidate's wife, a powerful and effective surrogate to her husband's presidential efforts, insisted that the campaign's message was focused on fixing the economy, period.
"So really if you want to try to pull me off of the other messages it's not going to work because I know because I've been out there," said Mrs. Romney.

Same sex marriage, abortion, Christian values, etc. are the concocted for media presentation issues to dupe the uneducated masses into believing that they participate in a democracy by vote. These meaningless wedge issues divert attention from the engineered take-over of the American free enterprise system by monopoly building under the ruse of economic catastrophe. This was proven in the primaries when one candidate called for an audit of those responsible and their media labelled him a kook.
If you are denigrating women's issues to "meaningless wedge issues," I hope some woman in your life takes you down a peg or two! How dare you infer the way people live in the privacy of their own homes, women's personal health issues, and faith issues (ALL faiths!) are not germaine to political discussions, are not core issues along with the economy, education, environmental concerns, and international diplomatic relationships. YOU need to stop listening to faux news, beck, etc.!
willard's wife is an elitist snob...she looks down her nose at "common people" (remember the woman who, when driving into an exclusive fundraiser and couldn't get her car front and center in front of the mansion, said she just couldn't abide those same "common people")...this is the type of people willard's wife is comfortable with...she doesn't care about "common" women, and hasn't got the guts to stand up for our rights, the one's afforded by the Constitution to ALL Americans...men & women!
Like those constitutional rights Obama signed away on Dec.31, 2011 in the NDAA act. You know, the establishment of martial law on every American. McCain co-sponsored the law and it never even went to the floor for discussion. You remember don't you, Obama signed it in Hawaii on his Christmas break. You see, it doesn't matter what party you support, the take-over of America is from within and you and I are merely along for the ride. You'll soon laugh at terms like "elitist" when "fascism" reigns.
