Apache Ladies win their way to national tournament in Kansas

Tyler is going to Kansas.

Tyler Junior College is going to the women's national tournament in Kansas for the first time in seven years.

The Apache Ladies beat Blinn College Friday, 95-83, in the semifinals of the Region XIV Tournament at UT Tyler.

Shernise Robertson led the way with 22 points.

Caitlyn Ramirez added 19.

Brittny Norris score 16 points.

Victoria Kemokai had 15.

The game was tied at the half but the TJC Women broke it open in the second half.

Tyler will play two-time defending national champion Trinity Valley in the finals of the regional tournament Saturday at 5:30.

That game will also be at UT Tyler.

Both teams have already qualified for the national tournament in Kansas.
