As Texans owner Bob McNair pointed out on Wednesday, it’s so early in the process he’s not willing to support or oppose the Oakland Raiders’ possible move to San Antonio.

Raiders owner Mark Davis met with officials from San Antonio, a Dallas Cowboys hotbed since the early 1960s, but the Texans have also worked hard to develop a fan base in the Alamo City.

It would be an outrage to move them anywhere. I’m glad Mr. Davis is doing this for possible leverage, but nothing else! The Raiders and their fans deserve a better stadium. I sure hope they can accommodate them around the Bay area or even California.

I know Mr. Davis is clearly thinking this is a good business move but seriously I don’t think Texas fans could have love for any other teams but the Cowboys and the Texans. It should stay that way.

I’m a Phoenix native, but grew up a die hard Oakland Raider fan. I could barely stand the move to LA in the 80’s. It is unconscionable to imagine the Raiders anywhere else but Oakland. It would be a travesty to bay area fans not to mention any Raider fans anywhere in Raider nation. Look I know they have had their ups and downs but overall they have great history and true Raider fans cannot fathom them being anywhere else but Oakland.
