Gregg County — Gregg County commissioners on Wednesday welcomed a Lake Cherokee-area businessman’s plea to escalate the war on litter.

“You are very much on target with this,” Commissioner Gary Boyd told Robert Crawley after the Harrison County resident described the problem he sees each day and solutions.

Crawley, who had been invited to speak in open forum by County Judge Bill Stoudt, said he planned to take his message to the city councils of Longview and Kilgore, as well as to Harrison County commissioners.
