The Longview News-Journal — Wonderland of Lights
Nov. 27 through Dec. 31, 5:30 p.m. Nov. 27 opening ceremony, 110 E. Houston St., downtown Marshall. More than 10 million lights will be on display. The Historic Harrison County Courthouse is at the center of events of the nightly synchronized light and music shows. Other activities include an outdoor ice rink that also serves as a stage for special ice performances, Wonderland Village, North Pole Play Land, a live variety show each night performed in Telegraph Park, North Pole Play Land Express train rides, Wonderland Mountain. Polar Challenge, carriage rides and other holiday activity. Evening performances times vary. Check www.visitmarshalltexas.org for times. Synchronized light and music shows begin at 6 p.m. Free evening variety music show in front of Harrison County Courthouse begins at 7 p.m.
Gladewater Christmas Parade
6 p.m. Dec. 2, N. Main St., Gladewater Antique District.
Magician Brett Roberts' Christmas Magic
7 p.m., Dec. 3, Longview Public Library, 222 W. Cotton St., Longview. Magician Brett Roberts will incorporate illusions, lighting effects, music, puppetry and more in his show. Admission is free.
Santa Claus at library
10:30 a.m. Dec. 4, Longview Public Library, 222 W. Cotton St., Longview. Mr. and Mrs. Claus will bring a special guest to the library: The Grinch. Moore Music Entertainment will provide a photo booth free for all visitors.
