A man is on the run Monday morning after police say he attempted to rob two Tyler donut shops.

The first call came in just before 7:00 am.

Tyler Police tell KETK, the "Tyler Donut" shop on the 500 block of West Front. The man had a handgun and took an undetermined amount of cash.

The robber then went to the "Country Donut" shop on the 200 block of North Beckham.

There, police say the man did not display a gun, but attempted to run out of the shop with a cash register.

He dropped the register as he was running from the store, so did not get away with any cash.

The man ran away from the scene. Police say he is believed to be in possession of a handgun, and is described as a black male, about 5'10'' tall, wearing a grey hoodie.

I'm sorry. My thought when I read the story was "What, the police were not there?"
Establishments keep getting hit. From laundry to this :(

These robberies were the symbolic gesture of the black mans strife with the American justice system, for what better day than MLK day to hit the cops where it hurts the most, a donut shop. Free at last, free at last, free to be seventy per cent of America's crime problem.
