Cuney, TX (East Texas) — Three robbers attacked liquor store employees as they were leaving work on Tuesday night.
It happened just before 9:00 p.m. at Arun Rise Liquor Store on Hwy. 175 in Cuney.
Cuney Police tell KETK that three employees were closing the store for the day, when they were attacked by three men in the parking lot.
One of the men held a gun to a female employee's face and demanded money. Another male employee was knocked to the ground.
After taking some of the employees' personal money, the robbers ran away into a nearby wooded area.
When police arrived, they began searching for the men.
An officer was driving eastbound on Hwy. 175 when he noticed a vehicle turn off of Cherokee County Road 3509, not far from where the incident happened. Since an aggravated robbery is a felony, officers pulled over the vehicle.
