(CNN) U.S. — It's the ultimate blow for Lance Armstrong.

The cyclist has officially been stripped of all 7 of his Tour de France titles.

The decision was handed down early this morning by the International Cycling Union, based on the conclusion Armstrong used performance enhancing drugs.

Last week the cyclist was banned from the sport for life by the U.S. Anti-doping Agency.

Armstrong, also recently, resigned as Chairman of the Livestrong Foundation.
