Around 200 gallons of moonshine seized in Lufkin

On Monday, the Angelina County Sheriff;s Department received a tip from Diboll PD about a clandestine distillery at a house on 1010 Woodland in Lufkin.

The house is owned by Bruce Love. The tip said Love had an operational clandestine distillery in his garage.

The tip also reported several jars of finished Moonshine were present. Lt Maskunas notified TABC Lt. Jeff Taylor about the tip. Lt. Taylor and TABC Agent Joey Davidson prepared a warrant for the house. On Tuesday around 10:30 a.m.., the warrant was executed at the house with a joint investigative team of TABC, ACSO, and DPSCID.

The Clandestine Still and around 150-200 gallons of finished product was seized. Also approximately 20 quarts of consumption were seized from the garage and the residence.

TABC, ACSO, Diboll PD, Lufkin PD, DPS CID and ATF all contributed to the successful eradication of this clandestine distillery.
