Tyler Police were dispatched early this morning to the East Texas Medical Center emergency room in response to a man who was assaulted on Lake Tyler.

The victim told police the attack occurred on the Hwy 64 E. boat ramp while he was with his family.

According to the victim, he and his family members met the suspect at the gas station while purchasing gas and then later agreed to meet at the boat ramp.

While at the boat ramp the suspect made numerous sexually suggestive comments about the victim's family.

As the victim began to walk away he heard a noise. When he looked behind him he was struck by a white Jetta driven by the suspect.

The victim was transported to East Texas Medical Center by family members where he received treatment for serious, but non life-threaten injuries. The victim described the suspect as a white male, 5’0”, 100 pounds and approximately 25 years of age.

Anyone with information about the suspects involved in this crime are urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers, at 903-597-CUFF

(903-597-2833). Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case, or any, felony case.
