Astronauts Work on International Space Station

July 18, 2009 - 3:12pm

NASA - Two astronauts ventured out for a space walk this morning to do some construction work.

You can see one over to the right working on Japan's huge billion-dollar lab at the International Space Station.

They're installing an outdoor platform for science experiments.

This is the first of five space walks planned over the next two weeks for this shuttle flight.

The Space Station is more crowded than ever.
