At least two people were injured in a Tuesday morning shooting in Henderson after several shots were reportedly fired.

According to Henderson Police Department spokesman Craig Sweeney, officers were dispatched to East Texas Medical Center in Henderson in connection with two gunshot victims.

One of the victims, who was identified as a male in his early 20s, was flown from Henderson to a Tyler hospital for injuries sustained in the shooting, police said.

Sweeney said the other victim was a male in his late 40s. The men were identified as Rusk County residents, Sweeney said.

Investigators said the shooting happened in the 400 block of Overton Street. Officials were unsure how many shots were fired.
