Attempted robbery at CVS Pharmacy in Tyler

Tyler, Texas (KETK) — Tyler Police are on the hunt for a man who attempted to rob a CVS Pharmacy late Thursday night.
Around 11:22 p.m., officers responded the a Robbery call at the CVS Pharmacy at 1702 South Broadway in Tyler.
Upon their arrival, a store employee advised that a black male, wearing a Halloween type skull mask, and armed with a handgun entered the store and demanded money.
During the course of the robbery, the cashier was able to call for help over the intercom.
The suspect was scared by this and turned to flee the building.
As he exited the store, he ran into the automatic doors, dropping a black handgun in the process.
He immediately retrieved the gun and fled the scene on foot.
The suspect was observed getting into a white or tan colored sedan.
Prior to the robbery, witnesses observed the suspect in the parking lot not wearing the mask and were able to describe him.
The suspect is a black male, approximately 5’8’’-5’10’’, thin build, and was wearing baggy jeans, a brown jacket, and a skull mask. No one was harmed during the robbery.
The suspect fled the scene before taking any money.

Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
