Authorities find body they believe to be of missing man; Silver Alert canceled
East Texas (KETK) — A Silver Alert has been canceled for a missing East Texas man, Arthur Henry Foster, 79, of Lufkin after authorities believe they may have found his body in Tyler County.
According to the Lufkin Police Department, a body was found on a deer lease in Tyler County on Friday, and Foster's vehicle was discovered nearby.
They have not definitively proven that it is Arthur Foster, but are awaiting DNA results for confirmation.
Foster was last seen at his house in Lufkin at 4:30 a.m. on June 1, 2013.
Mr. Foster was believed to be in the early stages of Alzheimers/Dementia, he was diabetic and had heart problems and high blood pressure. He had not had his medication since May 31, 2013 and was believed to be in physical danger due to not having his medication with him.
At this time, the case is being handled by the Tyler County Sheriffs Department.
Authorities have not ruled out any type of foul play, but that is typical at this stage, as they must investigate all possibilities.
