Authorities identify human remains found in Titus Co.

Titus County, Texas (KETK) — Authorities have identified the human remains found near a railroad track in southern Titus County.
According to the Pittsburg Police Department, Alejandro Pineda, 64, of Pittsburg, was the man found dead last week. The Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences performed the autopsy on Pineda. They ruled his death as accidental; he died of blunt force trauma.
On Monday, June 23, multiple law enforcement agencies were called to investigate remains found along railroad tracks. Justice of the Peace Paula Dyke ordered the autopsy.
Pittsburg Police Chief Richard Penn said it appears the the victim may have been on the train tracks when he was struck. There are currently no witnesses to the incident.
