Tyler, Texas — Every year thousands of tourists come to Tyler to take part in the beautiful Azalea and Spring Flower Trail.
This year the event brought in a striking increase in economic funds to the city of Tyler.
KETK spoke with the Vice President of Tourism and Servicing, Susan Travis, about just how much this year's trail increased in economic success. Travis said, The impact last year was 2.3 million dollars and this year it was 2.6 million dollars. We did have more outside Smith County visitors according to the numbers that we received back."
Susan continued to say that the city of Tyler hopes the Azalea Trail will have the same success next year.
