Longview, TX — When Janet Johnson of Longview went into Good Shepherd Medical Center for a scheduled Cesarean section birth on Friday morning, she knew she was going to give birth to a big baby.

She just had no idea how big.

When her son, JaMichael Brown, was born at 9:05 a.m., he weighed in at 16 pounds, 1 ounce. The doctors had predicted he'd weigh about 12 pounds, but JaMichael exceeded expectations by more than four pounds.

The baby is the largest ever delivered at Good Shepherd.
