Republican presidential hopeful Michele Bachmann says she's pleased by the results of a new poll showing her as one of the top choices among likely Iowa caucus-goers.

The Minnesota congresswoman is set to announce her candidacy for the Republican nomination for president on Monday. She'll be in her birthplace of Waterloo, Iowa, for the kickoff event.

Bachmann tells CBS' "Face the Nation" that she is gratified by the Iowa Poll that was released Saturday and showed she was in a statistical tie with former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney for first place among likely Iowa caucus-goers.

Romney had 23 percent support while Bachmann had 22 percent.

The Iowa caucuses, set for February, are the first votes in the nomination race for the 2012 presidential election.
