NEWS RELEASE FROM TYLER POLICE DEPARTMENT:

On 06-14-2011 at approximately 7:43 pm the Tyler Police Department responded to the 400 block of NNE Loop 323 in reference to a report of dead body in a vacant field. The remains had been discovered by an individual who was mowing the field with a brush hog. At the scene, officers observed the remains of a very badly decomposed human body. Due to the state of decomposition, the initial investigators are not yet able to determine the manner of death, age, race or sex of the individual. The body is being sent for autopsy. More information will be released as it develops.
