One of nine men charged last month in connection with eight Houston-area bank robberies

Houston — The Houston Chronicle is reporting; a robbery suspect hounded by a digital billboard campaign and a widespread public awareness effort turned himself in on Sunday.

Patrick Wayne Simmons, 27, was one of nine men charged last month in connection with eight Houston-area bank robberies, including one that involved the shooting of an off-duty deputy.
