TYLER — During their regularly scheduled meeting on Wednesday, the Tyler City Council added the alcohol option to the November 6th ballot for the city of Tyler.
If voters approve it, the measure will allow beer and wine sales within the city, and will also allow mixed beverages to be sold in Tyler restaurants.
The measure has been met with a lot of criticism.
Anti-alcohol group, Stand Strong for Tyler, met outside city hall this morning to argue the city is moving forward with the measure too quickly.
