Many East Texans can now buy beer and wine in Tyler.

After the passing of beer and wine many grocery and convenience stores have been getting their permits to sell alcohol.

On Friday, one of the biggest grocery chains in East Texas is stocking their store shelves.

Brookshire's Fresh by Brookshire's and Super 1 Foods in Tyler are ready to sell beer and wine.

They have received permit approval from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

Brookshire's Spokeswoman Ellen Reynolds tells KETK, a variety of beer and wine products will be available in each store where alcohol sales are now allowed.

Fresh will offer an expanded variety including craft beers and a larger selection of wine at varying prices.

KETK was at Fresh to catch the first sale, and we also got the local response of beer and wine sales in Tyler.

Nobody cares what you people who don't like it think. If they did, the voter turnout would have been greater and it would have failed, the numbers FOR were much higher than AGAINST. A wet Tyler is better than a drunk trip to the county line. Use common sense, not common practice.
