The 25th annual Overton Bluegrass and Gospel Music Festival will be this weekend in Overton at the city park off of FM 850.

The event begins at 6 p.m. Friday with an all-gospel show featuring Wayne Reynolds & the Reynolds Family Band, Ernie Evans & the Florida State Bluegrass Band, Hickory Hill and Blake Brothers.

The music portion of the festival resumes at 1 p.m. Saturday with performances by Ernie Evans & the Florida State Bluegrass Band, Hickory Hill, Brand New Strings, Breaking Grass and Coleman Brothers.

Other festival activities include arts & craft vendors, food vendors and recreational activities at the park.

Tickets are $15 for Friday, $20 for Saturday or $25 for both days. Students are half-price and children under 16 are free with adult admission. People attending should bring lawn chairs or blankets to sit on; no alcoholic beverages are allowed.
