Boogie Woogie boasts big crowd in Marshall
Marchall — Crowds filled the town Saturday for the city’s first Boogie Woogie Heritage Festival showcasing some of the world’s most famous names in the music genre.
Axel Zwingenberger and Lila Ammons headlined the event, which organizers hope will become an annual event in the town known as the birthplace of Boogie Woogie.
Zwingenberger, who is widely considered to be the greatest Boogie Woogie piano player alive, traveled from Germany to participate in the event.
