Border officers seize nearly $2 million in cocaine

Agents discovered 30 packages of the drug in Dodge Dugango

The Associated Press is reporting; agents have seized nearly $2 million worth of cocaine after discovering nearly 60 pounds of the drug in a vehicle at an international crossing on the Texas-Mexico border.

U.S. Customs and Border Protection said Monday the Dodge Durango driven by a 25-year-old San Antonio man was stopped for further inspection on Saturday at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry after officers saw discrepancies in the vehicle.

Authorities say they discovered 30 packages containing nearly 60 pounds of cocaine in the vehicle with an estimated street value of $1.9 million. Customs officers at the Eagle Pass Port of Entry turned the
driver over to immigration authorities for further investigation.
