Border Patrol nabs 2 ½ tons of pot

Edinburg — The Associated Press is reporting; U.S. Border Patrol agents seized nearly 2 ½ tons of marijuana as well as ammunition during several weekend drug busts in South Texas.
Officials announced Monday the nearly 5,000 pounds of marijuana seized has a value of nearly $4 million.
The largest seizure came on Friday when agents found more than 600 pounds of the drug on a ranch near Rio Grande City, about 40 miles northwest of McAllen.
The marijuana was found in several underground containers on the ranch. Authorities also found 80 ammunition magazines, some of them; loaded.
