PRINCETON WOMAN ARRESTED FOR AGGRAVATED ASSAULT

Bossier Sheriff Larry Deen says a Princeton woman was arrested early Wednesday morning for aggravated assault.

Joyce Marie Green, 50, of the 6900 block of Jennifer Lane, was taken into custody after she and her husband got into a verbal argument. During the confrontation, Green picked up a black-handled kitchen knife and began waving it around wildly while standing approximately four to five feet from her husband.

He feared for his safety and decided to take the knife away from her. He grabbed the knife by the blade and suffered a minor cut to his hand.

Green was transported to the Bossier Maximum Security Facility and booked. Her bond was set at $1,000.
