Bowl-A-Thon

News
Sunday, February 19, 2012 - 11:21pm

It was the 22nd annual Bowl-a-Thon at Green Acres Bowl, where it definitely wasn't the players' skills that got them into the league.

Applicants paid fifty dollars a person, in teams a four to enter the Bowl-a-Thon.

The money helps Junior Achievement buy materials and run programs that teach local students about business and economics.

Some the players were volunteers, who do presentations about entrepeneurship.

The program reaches over thirty-five hundred students in the local area.

And players were awarded prizes, but they were from drawings, and not their bowling scores.
