One movie is making a miraculous journey to the big screen, and an East Texas church is making it easy for you to get a front row seat. Christ Church Episcopal in Tyler is renting a showing of the Son of God at Times Square Cinema. They say this is all to prepare for the upcoming lent season, and to enjoy each other's company. Father Matt Boulter says they wanted a way to connect the church with the entire Tyler community, and believes if "you give people an opportunity to connect to Jesus Christ, to the body of Christ, and they find that compelling then they will come."

Kali Ridley, a youth group member, believes this movie will help people understand the purpose of lent. "I'm really excited about the whole idea of it and its an almost preparation for lent, and that's rare. It really gets you in the mindset of why were partaking in lent," said Ridley.

Boutler said this movie seems to him like it "does a pretty good job of showing the humanity of Christ, and like the book of Hebrews says he was like us in every way without sin," and he said this is important to reaching out to a teenage audience. "This gathering I think will prove to be a very powerful experience. This movie is going to be really awesome I think and epic almost," said Ridley.

The movie showing will be Sunday, March 2, at Times Square Cinema, 3:00-6:00 pm, exact start time will be announced closer to the event date. Donations accepted for admission. The movie is rated PG-13, therefore, childcare will be provided at Christ Church. Reservations requested.

Unfortunantly, the tickets through Church Episcopal in Tyler are sold out.

However, the film will be playing on several screens in Tyler for the next few weeks.
