Break-a-thon for St. Jude's

November 21, 2009 - 9:26pm

TYLER - Some martial artists in Tyler were showing off their skills and breaking boards for a good reason.

Students from Champion Martial Arts in Tyler were breaking as many boards as they could to raise money for St. Jude's.

Thanks to donations from some local businesses and other sponsors for the boards, the group says they have raised nearly $1,000 to help fight cancer.

Thank you so much for covering this! It was such a wonderful experience for the students. By the end of the break-a-thon we raised nearly $2,000 with money still coming in! Also, the name of the school is Championship Martial Arts.
