UPDATE: Physician, office manager arrested in DEA office raid

Tyler, Texas (KETK) —
The Drug Enforcement Administration along with the Department of Public Safety have arrested a Tyler doctor and his assistant at a building that was formerly occupied by Pierce Primary Care Associates.
Dr. Gregory Terrell, 53, and his office manager, Melissa York, 48, were both arrested on Wednesday for possession of a controlled substance by fraud as well as diversion of a controlled substance by registrants.
According to the Texas Medical Board, Terrell graduated from The University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago in 1986. His primary specialty is Emergency Medicine and his secondary is Urgent Care Medicine.
Terrell became a licensed physician in November 1996. He has practiced in Texas for eight years.
Records show Terrell has no past criminal history.
The establishment Terrell is working out of is located at 212 Old Grande Boulevard in Tyler.
According to Trooper Dark with the Smith County DPS. after receiving an anonymous tip, the DEA and DPS gained evidence and issued a search warrant on Terrell.
KETK is on scene as agents are entering and exiting the building.
Both Terrell and York will be booked into the Smith County Jail.
