Assistant Fire Chief Rusty Quattlebaum tells KETK that the Brownsboro apartment fire was contained to one room in one unit.
The resident of that apartment had put something on the stove, went next door to a neighbor's apartment and came back a few minutes later to find the stove on fire.
At the time of the fire everyone is said to have been at home and were all evacuated when police and fire authorties arrived.
When Chandler Volunteer Fire Department and Brownsboro Voluteer Fire Department responded, they found the two-story structure has some major damage. While a portion of the structure got burned, the other portion was completely gutted. The apartment below where the fire started received mild water damage.
No charges have been filed and Quattlebaum says no injuries have been reportd at this time.
The latest details on the structure fire in Brownsboro this evening is that an apartment complex caught fire around 10:30 Wednesday evening.
According to Henderson County authorities, the two-story structure had some major damage. While a portion of the structure got burned the other portion was completely gutted.
So far, officials don't know what actually caused the fire and no injuries are reported at this time.
The apartment complex was located right behind the Brownsboro school.
