The city of Bullard is discussing whether or not to fund infrastructure to two pieces of property along highway 69 for commercial development.

KETK spoke with the city's mayor, Pam Frederick, and she says, it's to bring even more money into an already growing area

The properties are located a mile apart on Highway 69, one on FM 344, and the other towards Jacksonville on County Road 3801.

FM 344 has 34 acres up for sale, while 3801 has just over 10.

If the developments pass, the areas have proposals to build new living residences, such as a gated community as well as duplexes.

There has also been mention of a hotel, along with convenience stores and a bank.

City officials tell KETK, that all of this will bring more jobs and revenue to Bullard, and city manager Larry Morgan says, financially the city has already seen strong numbers.

Now if the city does decide to fund the water, sewers, and streets on these properties, it will be the sales tax which will pay for it.
