Bullard Independent School District is proud to announce Jan Hill as Deputy Superintendent. Hill will assume the new role effective immediately.

Hill’s primary responsibility is to oversee and align critical district administrative functions and processes as well as provide leadership for the overall instructional program of the District. In addition, Hill will supervise and evaluate the performance of instructional supervisors and support staff in the Curriculum and Personnel Department.

She will recruit, select, and train personnel and make sound recommendations relative to personnel placement, assignment, retention, discipline, and dismissal. Hill will evaluate the job performance of employees to ensure effectiveness and oversee the student data PEIMS process. She will assist the Superintendent in identifying District goals and providing leadership and professional development opportunities to develop, achieve and maintain the best possible education for students. She will plan, implement, and evaluate instructional programs with teachers and principals as well as ensure the use of technology in the teaching-learning process. Furthermore, Hill will collaborate with members of the School Board, business and community leaders, and various agencies to develop partnerships that support students and the District.

Hill holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin and a Masters Degree from the University of Texas with an Administrative Certification. Through her many years in the field of education, Hill has been a teacher, principal, Federal Programs Director, and is currently the Curriculum Director for Bullard ISD.

Hill has been with Bullard ISD for 6 years. She has completed specialized training through Dunn and Dunn Learning Styles, Apple, NCLB Academies, and Cambridge Strategic Planning. Hill says she “supports the district’s mission statement for all students to become citizens who are able to make informed choices for success in a changing world.”
