Bullying hearing of former Spring Hill ISD student wraps
Longview, TX — A hearings officer had questions of her own Tuesday as a probe continued to determine whether Spring Hill ISD denied a student fair and appropriate treatment amid her claims she was bullied for stuttering.
Texas Education Agency hearings officer Annie Lockwood announced she’ll rule on the case, brought by the parents of a 14-year-old student, by July 11.
A ruling against the district would make Spring Hill responsible for counseling, speech therapy and other services the special education student would receive at Longview High School, where she transferred for the school year that now is ending.
