Segway Tourism: See the city, save the environment

You'd be amazed at the eco-friendly ways to see the city of St. Petersburg, Florida and if you really want to rev up the fun, take a Segway tour.

"Normally, the younger you are, the quicker you pick it up, but it is still fun for everybody of all ages," said one participant.

Ok, maybe he's right, but come on, Andrew is too cool for two wheels.

And he's done this before.

And so has Andrewís family.

In fact, this is how they entertain out of town guests.

"We don't have anything like this in Texas," said one rider.

The Williams and Albro's families let us crash their Bayside Tours Incorporated introductory course.

You quickly find out how easy it is to let your body take the lead.

And turning on the Segway axis is really very simple.

After 20 minutes of instructions the gang was off to see the beautiful backdrop of St. Petersburg Museum of Fine Arts.

And of course, no tour is complete without stopping at the luxurious Viceroy for pictures.

The battery operated no emissions machines make site seeing no sweat.

Just ask Alan Dobrzeniecki, owner and operator of Bayside Tours Incorporated.

"It's a fun and different way to cover the area, and people look at you in a celebrity status when you are riding by," said Dobrzeniecki.

To the Albo family, we hope you enjoyed your trip to Tampa Bay, and happy trails back to Temple, Texas.
