CADDO MOUNDS STATE HISTORIC SITE STAR GAZING PROGRAM
ALTO, Texas — Caddo Mounds State Historic Site invites the public to participate in a night program of star gazing. Activities will include classroom instruction and actual night sky viewing. Night time viewing will include constellation identification, finding the North Star, Jupiter, the Andromeda galaxy the most distant object visible to the necked eye, the Orion constellation, and the Orion Nebula. Hot coffee and cocoa will be provided. There is a $2.00 charge for the program. You are invited to bring your own telescope.
