Longview Police have confirmed with KETK that the driver who crashed into Albertsons in the 3600 block of McCann Road in Longview has been arrested for driving while intoxicated.

Their name has not been released at this time.

A car drives into a local grocery store early Sunday morning.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. at Albertsons in the 3600 block of McCann Road in Longview.

Store employees tell KETK that a car had driven into the left side of the building.

It is unknown at this time what the cause of the accident was.

Employees say that there were two people in the car at the time of the crash and one of them was taken to a local hospital with unknown injuries.

Details are limited at this time. But KETK will continue to update you as more information becomes available.

You mean it isn't a drive through? Maybe they thought it was a beer barn....

On the serious side I see so many people walk across to the entrance of Lowes or Wal-Mart or Target and just don't even look to see if the cars are stopping for them. Just way to many people expect others to look out for them and they don't realize people can mistake the accelerator for the brake!
