In 2005, Jason Teague was the top 3A defensive player in Texas.
Six years later he's gone from Carthage to Houston.
The East Texan is a free-agent with the Texans.
"Everybody always goes to East Texas to get their best players" Teague told KETK in Houston.
Teague was part of TCU's Rose Bowl championship team, and before that, he played for Danny Palmer at Tyler Junior College.
"When I think about Danny it's once a man always a man," Teague said. "He stressed that all the time."
Now the East Texan is practicing with the Houston Texans.
"It's a blessing to get an opportunity to come here and compete with some of these guys and prove that you belong," Teague said.
