Cash for Clunkers Leftovers Help Fire Department
November 21, 2009 - 10:20pm
TYLER - The Cash for Clunkers program is helping out some local fire fighters in a way no one would have predicted.
Highway Auto Parts had a lot of the old clunkers in its junkyard.
So owner Craig Barker decided to donate the cars to the Dixie Fire Department for training.
The fire fighters practiced using the Jaws of Life, an important tool used to extract car crash victims.
The Wilson Rescue Team helped to put on the training.
