The American Cancer Society will be celebrating the kick off to the Cattle Barons' Gala at Cavender’s, May 2 from 5 to 9 p.m.

“This kick-off party is a great way to get your Cattle Barons’ Gala “Rigs to Riches” outfit all while shopping for a cause.” said Trudy Williams, Cattle Barons’ Co-Chair. "Cavender’s has generously opened their doors to help us continue our fight against cancer and we cannot thank them enough,” said Amy Barber, Cattle Barons’ Co-Chair. Patrons are encouraged to shop during the event, catered by Stanley’s Famous Pit Bar-B-Q! A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

“This event has grown over the years and is a highlight of our Gala season” said Trudy Williams, Cattle Barons Co-Chair. “We look forward to it every year to be able to suit up for the gala and give back to the American Cancer Society all at the same time.”

The Cattle Barons’ Gala will be held June 8th, at the Rio Neches Ranch. Tickets are available at the American Cancer Society office and include performances by country superstar Craig Morgan, fabulous cowboy cuisine catered by Eddie Deen, live and silent auctions, and gaming inside air-conditioned tents.

In addition, Hall Buick GMC will be donating a Cattle Barons' edition 2013 GMC truck for the Gala's Truck Chance Drawing. Each chance drawing ticket will be sold for $100. Only 500 tickets will be sold. Tickets are now available at Hall Buick GMC and the American Cancer Society (ACS) office located at 1301 South Broadway in Tyler. Susan Robinson Jewelry is donating a suite of Charles Krypell Jewelry.

Tickets are 1/$10, 3/$25 or 12/$100. Tickets are available at Susan Robinson Jewelry and the ACS office.

We look forward to seeing you and your cameras at our kick off event!
