Cattle prices are rising
Tyler, TX (KETK) — Last year's drought forced many Texas ranchers to thin out their herds, now they are looking to build them back up.
But since the demand is so high, prices have skyrocketed, from your average $800 to $1200 to now having to pay up to $2000 or $3000.
And also,. experts tell KETK to not get too excited about teh current weather, although it may not be as bad as last year, last year was one of the worst ever, but this year could be hot enough once again to make it difficult to maintain a full herd.
We will have more on this story tonight at 5 and 6 on KETK news.
