He was probably a passionate supporter of the saints, considering that he bet his 60 inch tv and a large sum of money on them. I think that sport bets can be just as addictive as casino games and sometimes worse because people tend to become emotionally attached to their favorite teams, and setting high stakes on emotional grounds is never a good idea.
