Pies were flying at a New Jersey prep school Thursday.

More than 400 students and staff at the Lawrenceville School turned out for an attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the biggest custard pie fight, and they are pretty confident they did it.

They raised about $10,000, and the proceeds are going to the Trenton area soup kitchen.

The school needed at least 435 people to hurl the chocolate custard pies with Graham cracker crusts to beat the record.
