There will be no more reindeer games for Rudy.

Rudy the reindeer is safe and sound after escaping from a live nativity scene at a Lakeland church.

Lakeland police say they received a call early Tuesday morning about a deer running loose.

Personnel at the Highland Park Church of the Nazarene were already on the case.

They chased after Rudy, a 3-year-old reindeer who is named after his famous red-nosed relative, Rudolph.

They found him hiding under a nearby elf house.

Rudy's owner packed him up and took him home.
