MINNEAPOLIS — A man Tasered by a Minneapolis, Minnesota police officer says he was stunned for no reason and that dashcam video of the incident will prove it.
The video shows Rolando Demetrio Ruiz with his hands on the hood of the police a car last april when the officer uses a Taser on his neck.
Minneapolis Police Chief Tim Dolan calls the video "disturbing" and has asked the FBI and the city attorney to investigate.
An attorney for Ruiz released the video and has filed a notice of claim alleging civil rights and other violations.
Ruiz is accused of throwing a brick through the windshield of another officer's car.

This criminal (Policeman) should be in custody right now for an unprovoked assault on a citizen. He should already have been dismissed because of his criminal activity. Thugs like this one cast a shadow over all officers who operate with integrity and dignity.

2 weeks agoWhat integrity and dignity when the others protect cops like this just because he is a cop. One reason the cameras are good is that it makes it more difficult for other cops to come to his defense.

1 week agoThe best thing that has happened in police work is videos. They do show criminal acts both by civilians and police which means juries no longer have to depend on what police say and it makes it more difficult for police to get away with their criminal acts. Courts are supposed to dispense justice, not angry cops.
I will add one more bit of wisdom. In this day and age it is very foolish to trust a cop.
